West Indies Squad for ICC Cricket World Cup 2023

The Cricket West Indies (CWI) has announced their final squad for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. West Indies are the first team to announce the squad for the tournament.

West Indies has played all the previous editions of World Cup and they will target to qualify this time as well.

CWI has recalled the bowling all-rounder Keemo Paul, who last played for the side at ODI level back in July last year. Gudakesh Motie, who performed well in Zimbabwe during the West Indies’ Test tour earlier in the year, has also earned a spot in the squad.

Shai Hope will lead the two times World Champions side hereas Rovmen Powell will be his deputy. Nicolas Pooran will be the batter to watch as he has been in peak form. The exclusion of another explosive hitter Shimron Hetmyer has been the other talking point.

West Indies are in group A along with the host Zimbabwe, Nepal, Netherlands and the USA.
