The final round of the AFC Asian Cup 2023 Qualfiers begins from Wednesday. All the matches of Group A is being hosted by Kuwait.

In the second match of the day, Nepal will take on Jordan at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium and will kick off at 1:00pm Nepali Time.

Jordan defeated India 2-0 in their first match after summing up their Qatar tour with a 2-1 defeat to Australia. Meanwhile, Nepal played 2-2 draw against Timor-Leste and 1-1 draw against Sri Lanka. Nepal lost 2-0 to strong Oman side in the final friendly match in Qatar.

Apart from Nepal and Jordan, there are Kuwait and Indonesia in Group A, fighting for the place in AFC Asian Cup 2023.

Nepali football team are here in Kuwait followed by a huge controversy between the head coach Abdhullah Almutairi and several senior players. Those players are missing from the national side for this qualifiers and several new and young players were called up.

Nepali team will see more than half of the new players (less experienced) in the starting eleven and they will have uphill task agaisnt the might Jorda.

Munther Abu Emara was involved in individual training after picking up minor injury while Tariq Khattab is back in training with a face mask after suffering a nose injury.
