Vancouver Knights Slumps to Three Straight Defeats Despite Airee’s Explosive Knock

The Vancouver Knights, featuring Nepali cricketers Dipendra Singh Airee and Sandeep Lamichhane, have suffered their third consecutive defeat in the ongoing Global T20 Canada.

In the last night match, Vancouver went down by 10 runs against the Montreal Tigers.

Chasing a target of 145 runs, Vancouver’s Dipendra and Sandeep remained unbeaten at the end. Dipendra scored 30 runs off 15 balls with 3 fours and 1 six, while Sandeep contributed 1 run from 2 balls.

Additionally, Riza Hendricks scored 34 runs, Dwaine Pretorius added 30 runs, and Harsh Thaker made 18 runs.

For Montreal, Ayan Afzal Khan took 3 wickets and Kaleem Sana claimed 2 wickets, with one wicket going to Azmatullah Omarzai.

Earlier, after winning the toss and opting to bowl first, Vancouver restricted the Montreal Tigers to 144 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

For Vancouver, Nepali leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane took 1 wicket, conceding 24 runs in 4 overs. He dismissed Dilpreet Bajwa. Nepali all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee did not get a chance to bowl.

Mohammad Amir and Dwaine Pretorius each took 2 wickets for Vancouver, while Jeremy Gordon took 1 wicket.

For Montreal, Corvin Bosch scored the highest with 35 runs off 25 balls, followed by Bajwa with 33 runs from 22 balls, and Azmatullah Omarzai with 27 runs.

Tim Seifert and Ayan Afzal Khan both scored 16 runs, while captain Chris Lynn added 10 runs. Vancouver’s next game is scheduled for Thursday.
