UEFA ‘Confident’ about EURO CUP 2020 over Corona Virus outbreak

The UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin said he is confident that the European football’s governing body could deal with any worst-case scenario in relation to the upcoming Euro 2020. The outbreak of COVID-19 (corona virus) in more than 75 countries has forced many of the footballing activities being postponed/ cancelled.

Italy is the worst-hit nation among the Europe and it is also a host country for the Euro Cup 2020. The games in Serie A was also postponed due to the corona virus.

“You don’t know how many concerns we have when we organize a big competition,” Ceferin said at a press conference after the UEFA Congress in Amsterdam.

“We have security concerns, we have political instability concerns, and one of the concerns is also the virus, and we are dealing with it and we are confident we can deal with it.”

The mega footballing event is less than 100 days away and the excitement of fans are being loomed due to the outbreak of deadly corona virus around the world.
