UAE, Kuwait advanced to final round of Asia Cup Qualifiers

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Kuwait have sealed their place in the final round of the Asia Cup qualifiers after reaching the final in ACC Men’s Western Region 2020.

In the semi-final match played on Wednesday, UAE defeated Qatar by 28 runs and Kuwait defeated Bahrain by massive 87 runs. UAE and Kuwait will play for the title on Thursday.

Earlier in the group stage, the title contender Oman couldn’t make it to the semi-finals, which knocked them out from possible chance of playing in the Asia Cup. Oman has already qualified for the T20 World Cup in Australia. However, failed to qualify for the Asia Cup now. Kuwait had defeated Oman by 34 runs in the league match.

The ACC Men’s Eastern Region 2020 is set to start from 29 February where Nepal will be participating. The finalists from the Eastern region will join UAE and Kuwait in the Asia Cup qualifiers.

Nepal will take on Malaysia in their first match of the campaign.
