Toronto wins as Sandeep Lamichhane grabbed a wicket

Nepal’s leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane made a quite good comeback in his bowling following his expensive spell in his first match. Lamichhane grabbed a wicket in the expense of 28 runs from 4 overs.

Toronto Nationals defeated the Montreal Tigers by four wickets to register their second win in the league. Montreal Tigers is Lamichhane’s former club as he played from Tigers in the last edition.

After winning the toss, Toronto elected to field first and restrict the Tigers within 136 runs in 20 overs. Lamichhane grabbed his only wicket of the match in the 16th over, trapping Maat Cross LBW.

Chasing the modest target, Toronto completed the chase in 18 overs, losing 6 wickets. Chirag Suri top scored with 52 runs off 37 balls.

With the win, Toronto Nationals are at the 4th position with four points from 5 matches. They have lost the other three matches.
