Associate nations have been making a lot of progress in International cricket. Back in 2017, two of the Associate nations then, Afghanistan and Ireland were upgraded to the full member. Those two have become the role model for other associate nations.

Currently, there are 92 associate members and among those nations there are many good cricketers, be it a bowler or a batsman or an all-rounder. Here we have picked up top 5 all-rounder among the associate members.

#5 Jonathan Smit (Namibia)

The 24-years old fast bowling all-rounder has stand himself as the main main of Namibia team. With his brilliant all-round performance, Namibia was able to qualify for the T20 World Cup.

Playing in 8 ODIs, Smit has made 144 runs and grabbed 13 wickets. Similarly, in 12 T20Is he has made 206 runs and grabbed 16 wickets. In List A matches, Smit has made 1,143 runs taking 82 wickets. He is also the first Namibian player to play in foreign league. In 2019, he played in the Global T20 League in Canada.

#4 Roelof van der Merwe (Netherlands)

The Dutch international Roelof van der Merwe is one of the experienced player among the Associate members. He has already played from the South African national team. Back in 2009, he played his first international match against Australia.

The 35-years old all-rounder has played 15 ODIs, 43 T20I and 187 list A matches. He has made 2,901 runs in list A along with 249 wickets. His individual best score is 165 runs in List A match. Since 2015, van der Merwe has been representing the Dutch side in international cricket.

#3 Aqib Ilyas (Oman)

Aqib Ilyas is quite a new name in Associate cricket. However, in recent days, Aqib Ilyas has been the main weapon of Omani cricket tam’s success. He’s been in absolute wonderful form in recent games. Just in 11 ODI matches, Ilyas has already registered 2 centuries and four half-centuries that sums upto 621 runs for the national side. His all-round performance in 2019–22 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 has helped his team stay at the top of the table.

Aqib Ilyas has made 408 runs in 22 T20I matches. Similarly, he has 16 and 18 wickets in his name in ODI and list A matches respectively. Ilyas is yet to get exposed in foreign franchise leagues.

#2 Rohan Mustafa (UAE )

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) all-rounder Rohan Mustafa has been the major part of his national side. He is a left-handed batsman and right-arm off-spin bowler. Mustafa has made a century and a couple of half-centuries in 37 ODI matches. In T20Is , he has made 766 runs in 43 matches. He has taken 41 wickets in ODI matches with his best bowling figure of 5-25.

He has appeared in few international franchise leagues, especially in Nepal. Rohan has played all three leagues in Nepal namely, Everest Premier League, Dhangadi Premier League and the Pokhara Premier League. Beside these, Mustafa has played the Global T20 League in Canada.

In at number 1, we have ranked the former Nepal skipper Paras Khadka. Paras Khadka has been with the Rhinos since 2004. The batting all-rounder bowls medium pace as well as spin bowl as per the requirement of the condition. aras Khadka represented Nepal in three Under-19 World Cups, in 2004, 2006 and 2008, while also a regular in the senior national team.

Groomed for captaincy through positions of leadership in age-group teams, he took over the national captaincy in 2009 and he resigned from the captaincy few months ago. Khadka is highest run scorer for the Nepali team in almost all the formats of cricket. Khadka has grabbed 9 wickets in ODIs, 8 in T20Is and 26 in List A matches.
