The mega event of shortest format of the game is all set to start from Sunday with the newly crowned Asian Champions Sri Lanka taking on the Associate Namibia in opener.
The first round match from Group A will be played at GMHBA Stadium, South Geelong, Victoria in Australia. The match will start from 9:30 am IST.
Sri Lanka will look to make their winning start in the World Cup as they were demoted to the first from after their poor performance in previous T20 World Cup. Along with Sri Lanka and Namibia, the Group A consists of UAE and the Netherlands.
The top two teams from each, group A and Group B will qualify for the super 10 and will join the likes of India, Pakistan, India and other full members.
