Singapore defeated Hong Kong, Nepal bowed out of Asia Cup Qualifiers

The pre-tournament favorite Nepal bowed out of the first round of ACC Asia Cup 2020 qualifiers. After losing the opening two matches in ongoing ACC Eastern Region 2020 in Thailand, Nepal were left with no option other than winning the remaining two and also wishing for favorable results of other match.
Nevertheless, Nepal managed to register their first victory in the tournament after defeating the host Thailand my huge 9 wickets within 5.3 overs. But the result of the second match of the day didn’t go Nepal’s favor. The second match of the day was between Singapore and Hong Kong. A huge margin win for Hong Kong over Singapore would have kept Nepal’s hope alive. However, Hong Kong lost to Singapore by 16 runs.
Now, three teams Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia will vie for the final two spots in the ACC Asia Cup Qualifiers.
Nepal will take on Singapore in their last match of the tournament and Singapore are undefeated till 3 matches in the tournament.
