The mid-season transfer is open from Tuesday after all the eight franchises played their 7-7 matches in Indian Premier League 2020.
After each team playing 7 matches each, they can either transfer in/out players or exchange the players.
The 13th edition of Indian Premier League is undergoing in UAE after the league was called off in India due to Covid-19 pandemic.
A player who has not played for their respective franchises or played less than two matches can get involved in mid-season transfer window.
Many top-top players are yet to feature in this season’s IPL which includes the likes of Chris Gayle, Sandeep Lamichhane, Mujeeb, Imran Tahir, Nabi, Jason Holder, Chris Lynn and many more.
After failing to make it into the starting XI, those players can find a new team which need them and play from the other team.
Should Sandeep Lamichhane be transferred ?
Sandeep Lamichhane is representing Delhi Capitals for the third time in Indian Premier League and according to the contract, this is the last season for Lamichhane in Delhi.
In his first season, Lamichhane played 3 matches and played 6 matches in IPL 2019. However, Lamichhane is yet to feature in this season’s IPL. Delhi Capitals has already played 7 matches and Lamichhane hasn’t featured yet.
With three Indian spinners in the team, it’s been very tough for Lamichhane to squeeze to the starting XI. Nevertheless, with Amit Mishra being ruled out of the IPL 2020, there is still no chance for Delhi to drop either Axar Patel or Ravi Ashwin. The spinner duo are preforming brilliantly.
This could open a doorway for Lamichhane to see for another franchise. However, the Delhi Capitals should agree to release Lamichhane.
