The Blues will be back in action on Sunday after a long break when they take on Aston Villa at Villa Park.
Chelsea will be boosted by the returns of their several injured players which also includes a long-term absentee Ruben Loftus-Cheek. He was out since last May after picking up an Achilles injury.
Loftus gained enough time to recover from the injury during the unplanned break due to Covid-19 pandemic and is available for the trip to Villa Park on Sunday.
Reben was included couple of times in the squad before the lock-down. However, he wasn’t introduced into the field. Nevertheless, he had played from the development squad back in February. He was able to made impact in the game providing an assist for the only goal of the match against Everton U-23.

Ruben featured in recently played training matches and bagged a couple of goals against QPR at Stamford Bridge. He had also scored in intra-club training match.
‘It was good to be in the squad for those games,’ Ruben told as per mentioned in official website of Chelsea.
‘I didn’t quite get on the pitch, but I always felt that if I played this season, then it would be a bonus, because the injury was taking so long. I said to myself, if I play this season, great, but if I don’t, I’ll be working towards next season. Then Covid-19 happened and changed things a bit.’ He added.
Along with Loftus, the other long-term absentee Callum Hudson-Odoi is back in the squad and is ready to play against Aston Villa.
The Premier League resumed this week and Chelsea are in good shape to mark the league re-start.
