Real Madrid eye to retain top position as they welcome Mallorca at Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid will host Mallorca on Thursday looking forward to maintain the top position in the league table putting more pressure on the defending Champions Barcelona.
Madrid will top the table ahead of the catalans with equal points but better in the head-to-head. Barcelona is on the top currently after defeating Atletic Bilbao 1-0 in Camp Nou having played a game more than Madrid. The victory of Madrid will let the catalans to be in the top for only 24 hours.
After the restarting of the league after the lock-down, Barcelona had dropped the points against Sevilla giving the chance to Madrid to lead the table which Madrid had capitalize. However, the Zidane’s team cannot afford to drop the points against Mallorca.
At the present time, Madrid has been in the strong position to win the league. The win in the remaining matches will ensure the trophy though it will be a daunting task and Barcelona will be waiting for the opportunity for it to drop the points. The run for the trophy of this season has been now tough for both the rivals which is making each minute count.
