Premier League Shareholders voted for “Phase II” Training

The Premier League released a statement in which it has mentioned that, “Premier League Shareholders vote unanimously to resume contact training, marking another step towards restarting the season.”
Which means the Premier League clubs will now head towards the phase II of the training. Almost all the English club has been training under certain restrictions among the team. However, the Premier League side still awaits the resumption date after the league was halted for more than two months due to the Corona virus pandemic.
What is Phase II Training?
Generally, in the phase two of the training, the players will be able to continue their contact training. Squads are now able to train as a group and engage in tackling while minimizing any unnecessary close contact. In the first phase, there were few restrictions regarding the group training. In the phase one, the players were split into small groups, each led by one coach, for running and stretching exercises.
In the phase II which is suggested by the UK government, the players can join the training where pairs, small groups and/or teams will be able to interact in much closer contact. Similarly, coaching and tackling within the two-metre distance is permitted.
The Premier League also confirms that there will be continuous test for the corona virus twice a week.
Allowing the phase two of the training marks the another step towards restarting the Premier League season.
Currently, Liverpool are at the top of the table leading second-placed Manchester City by huge 25 points. However, Liverpool are yet not confirmed of the PL title. They need another two wins to secure their Premier League title after 30 years.
