Premier League ready for June first week return

After the resume of the German Bundesliga, yet another top tier league is Europe is ready for resume. The England’s Premier League could be another European top tier league to resume after the UK United Kingdom’s government gave the green light to resume the league.

The league was suspended around a couple of months ago leaving all the football fans under immense disappointment. With most of the football leagues around the world being suspended due to Corona virus outbreak throughout the world, the resume of Premier League could bring back smile on the football fans.

Premier League Resume

In a document named “Our Plan to Rebuild: The UK Government’s COVID-19 Recovery Strategy” published by the UK government, includes permitting cultural and sporting events to take place behind closed doors for broadcast.

On Monday, the Premier League clubs met to discuss their restart plans and other issues like player contracts.

In a statement, the Premier League said, “Following today’s meeting of Shareholders, Premier League Chief Executive Richard Masters has said the 20 clubs are united in their desire to get the 2019-20 season back up and running and that players and managers will have an important role in that return.”

All the matches is expected to be played at home ground. However, it was first proposed that the matches to be played at neutral venues. There are still 92 Premier League fixtures to be played with Liverpool just needing two more wins to be crowned Premier League champions.

On the other hand, Bundesliga is already resuming from May 16, Spanish La Liga ready from June 20 return. However, the Belgian League is already abandoned without a winner along with French Ligue 1 with PSG crowning the champions.
