Paras Khadka historic T20I century guide Nepal to huge win

Nepal skipper Paras Khadka smashed the first ever T20I Century from a Nepali batsman as Nepal registered an easy 9-wickets win over Singapore. The match was a part of a tri-series that comprises of Singapore and Zimbabwe along with Nepal.

Nepal had lost their first match of the series against Zimbabwe by 5 wickets after the Nepal bowling collapse at the end.

Paras Khadka was not out at 106 runs off just 52 balls. This is a historic century for Nepali cricket as well as for the skipper himself as it is the first T20I century for any Nepali batsman. Khadka is also the first Nepali batsman to score an ODI Century. He had done that against UAE at the beginning of this year.

Winning the toss, the home side Singapore elected to bat first. They made an average total of 151 in 20 overs with the loss of 3 wickets. Singapore skipper TH David  remained not out at 64 runs. Karan KC grabbed a couple of wickets for Nepal with Sandeep Lamichhane grabbing the other.

In return, Nepal lost their opener Ishan Pandey in the second over of the inning. However, Paras Khadka and Aarif Sheikh made 145 runs partnership to guide Nepal to a convenient victory. Sheikh made 39 off 38 balls, who was supporting and rotating the strike from the other end.

Nepal will now again play Zimbabwe in their third match on October 1 before summing up the series with a match against Singapore on October 2.
