Nepali leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane will be travelling to Caribbean to take part in the CPL T20 2020. Lamichhane’s participation in the league was in dilemma after the flight block in Nepal due to corona virus pandemic.
Nepali national cricket team’s technical analyst Raman Shiwakoti confirmed on Wednesday that Lamichhane will travel on July 30, 2020 at 10 am through Korean airlines chartered flight via USA.
Lamichhane will reach the destination on August 1, 2020 as per CPL schedule. After that, Lamichhane will have to spent at least a couple of weeks in quarantine along with other players.
Sandeep Lamichhane will be playing from Jamaica Tallawahs this season with league set to start from August 19. Tallawahs consists of players like Andre Russel and Carlos Brathwaite.
Lamichhane hasd played his debut CPL from St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in 2018 where he grabbed 7 wickets. Last year, he played from Barbados Tridents and picked up 8 wickets.
