The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) on Friday confirmed that four of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and AFC Asian Cup China 2023™ Preliminary Joint Qualification Round 2, will take place on March 25 and 30.
The four matches includes Nepal vs Australia and the match venue is set as Dashrath Stadium, Kathmandu. The match will be played on 30 March.
The fixtures is as follows:
Taking into consideration the existing travel and quarantine restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic across the Continent and following a process of close consultation with Asia’s Member Associations, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and FIFA have jointly agreed to postpone the majority of the upcoming Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and AFC Asian Cup China 2023™. AFC stated in their official website.
Nepal’s home match against Chinese Taipei and Jordan is now pushed further for uncertain date. Nepal has already played 5 matches, winning only one against Chinese Taipei. Nepal lost all other four matches. With a win, Nepal is currently at fourth position with 3 points.
