Nepal’s home fixtures of FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023 qualifiers are in doubt as the deadly ‘Corona Virus’ is forcing many events around the world to be postponed. However, the official decision is yet to be made from the governing body.
Nepal is hosting Chinese Taipei on 26th March and the mighty Australia on 31st March at Dashrath Stadium. The most awaited international match at Dashrath Stadium might get some delay if the governing body make some decisions.
However, the Football Federation Australia (FFA) has written to the Asian Football Federation (AFC) on postponing the qualifiers event citing the ‘corona virus’ outbreak reason. Nevertheless, Chinese Taipei are silent about the qualifiers.
Nepal is currently in 4th position of the table having won only one out of their five matches. Nepal lost twice to Kuwait, and once to Jordan, Australia. Nepal registered only one win in the qualifiers against Chinese Taipei.
