Nepal’s Tour of Oman Postponed

Nepal’s tour of Oman for 4-matches ODI series as a part of ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 is pushed into uncertainty due to Covid-19 pandemic issues.
Nepal cricket fans were disappointed after their Qatar tour was called off due to the same reason last week. The misery is now piled upon the Nepali fans after their Oman tour was also cancelled.
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has already started the closed camp for the tour, calling up the 32 players in the initial phase, based on the performance in recently concluded PM Cup.
Nepali Cricket team was supposed to travel to Oman in mid of March to take part in double header tri-series against USA and Oman.
Previously, Nepal had hosted those two Nations at TU Cricket Ground where Nepal lost both the matches against Oman and defeated USA in both matches.
According to the various sources, the series was called off as Oman Cricket’s proposal to ICC about bearing the quarantine cost for the visiting teams was denied.
However, the official confirmation from the host nation is yet to be received. On the other side, the USA cricket has called off their closed camp as well.
