The Nepal National Cricket Team has been bid farewell by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) as they head off to the forthcoming CWC League 2 Tri-Series. Nepal is traveling to Canada for their second series in the CWC League 2 after their first series in February.
In preparation for the team’s series in both Canada and the USA, CAN arranged a formal goodbye function in Kathmandu. Team Nepal will play in a T20I tri-series following the conclusion of the CWC series in Canada, where Oman is the other opponent, before traveling to the USA for another CWC League 2 series.
Prior to the main series, Nepal will play a warm-up match against the formidable Canada XI, as announced by CAN secretary Paras Khadka.
On September 16, Nepal will play its first game in the tri-series against Canada. On September 18, they will play Oman after a day of respite. Following a short break, Nepal will play Oman on September 24 and Canada once more on September 22. Every match will begin at 7:45 PM NST and take place in King City, Ontario.
Seven months have passed since Nepal’s last ODI encounter since they were concentrating on the T20 format before taking a break. The last time Nepal played an ODI was in February. Nepal experienced three losses and only managed one victory against Namibia and the Netherlands in the first series, which was played at home in February.
