Nepal went down to West Indies A in the Third Match

In the third match of the T20 series between Nepal and West Indies A, held at TU Cricket Ground, Nepal faced a significant setback as West Indies A succeed in maintaining the winning streak by securing a commanding 27 runs victory today after a 10-run victory on the previous match.

After winning the toss West Indies A opted to bat first. Their decision proved to be fruitful as they managed to secure a total of 227/3, in their allotted 20 overs. Johnson Charles emerged as the star of their batting lineup, delivering a stellar century. His innings of 119 runs off just 61 balls comprising 13 boundaries and 7 sixes played a vital role in the win. Charles’s aggressive approach set the tone for West Indies A’s innings and put Nepal under immediate pressure.Andre Fletcher contributed a valuable 53 runs before being dismissed. Fletcher’s innings included 4 boundaries and 3 sixes, showcasing his ability to accelerate this match toward West Indies A’s second victory for this series. Additionally, Fabian Allen and Keemo Paul played brief but impactful Innings.

Nepal, in response to the majestic batting of West Indies A, struggled hard to chase down the target of 228 runs. Despite efforts from all 11 batsmen, Nepal could only manage to score 151 runs before being bowled out in 19.2 overs.Binod Bhandari was the first batsman to face the West Indies bowler and was dismissed with 19 runs. Other batsmen Anil Sah was dismissed on 14 runs, Aarif Sheikh on 3 runs, Lokesh Bam on 28 runs, and Kushal Malla on 20 runs.

Other bowlers like Gudakesh Motie, Matthew Forde, Fabian Allen, and Obed McCoy also chipped in with crucial breakthroughs, ensuring that Nepal never got into a comfortable position during their innings.Among the six blowers who got to bowled from the Nepali side only Sagar Dhakal and Karan KC managed to get wickets for Nepal. Sagar Dhakal was the standout bowler for Nepal, claiming three wickets for 41 runs in his spell. However, his efforts were overshadowed by West Indies A’s dominant performance with both bat and ball.
