The match between Nepal and Oman in the ICC World Cup League 2 tri-nation ODI series has been canceled due to continuous rain.
Nepal, under pressure from a string of defeats, was scheduled to play against Oman on Tuesday at 8:45 PM Nepali time at King City Cricket Ground in Canada. However, the match could not take place due to persistent rain, and both teams have been awarded one point each after the cancellation.
In the first match of the tri-nation ODI series, Nepal suffered a heavy defeat against Canada, losing by 103 runs. In the second match, they narrowly lost to Oman by one wicket. Nepal was again defeated by Canada in the third match, this time by five wickets.
Nepal had aimed to secure its second victory in League 2 by defeating Oman. Earlier, in the first round of the World Cup League 2 held in Nepal, they had registered a win against the Netherlands.
In the League 2 points table, Nepal is currently second from the bottom with 3 points from 8 matches, while Oman is in sixth place with 6 points from 7 matches.
Following the ODI series, Nepal will participate in a tri-nation T20I series involving Canada and Oman.
