Nepal vs Malaysia: Nepal Looking for a Bright Start

Nepali Cricket team is taking on Malaysia in their first match of the ACC Men’s Eastern Region 2020 which is also a get-way to the ACC Asia Cup 2020. The match will be played at Asian Institute of Technology Ground and will start from 12:15 pm Nepali time.

Nepal will play the second match of the day after the inaugural match between host Thailand and Singapore. Total five teams are participating in the tournament with only two teams getting their spots in the next round. Along with Nepal, there are Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. Earlier, there were 8 teams. However, China, Myanmar and Bhutan withdrew their participation in the tournament due to ‘Corona Virus’ out break.

According to Nepal’s head coach Jagat Tamata, teenager Kushal Malla could be the opening partner to skipper Gyanendra Malla. If Malla pair comes as a opening pair, then Paras Khadka might come in at no. 3.
