Nepal is currently waiting for their first home match in the FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asia cup 2023 qualification campaign. After finishing all their away match, Nepal is ready to welcome the team Kuwait in home.

The National Sports Council (NSC) is preparing to host the match at Dashrath Stadium. However, the stadium is still not ready and looking for the completion. The AFC official were also not satisfied with the venue.

Another twist ?

A popular news portal of Nepal, GoalNepal posted about the proposal of Kuwait on hosting the match in a neural venue. They claimed that a close source at ANFA had told the information. The proposal was made in mid October.

Kuwait is a hotter country and relatively warmer than Nepal. Therefore, playing in Nepal in November might be difficult for the Kuwaiti side. However, the weather condition is one of the home advantage for any home team. Similarly, the long travel and the surface condition of the Dashrath Stadium are the other reasons.

ANFA has set the match timing during the evening, which can be a strategic planning and it is fairly fair.

The source also told that Kuwait had offered ANFA air-fare, hotel expenses if they would visit Doha for the match. The ANFA hasn’t given any response but had informed the AFC regarding the proposal. The Kuwait FA also had complained about the playing surface to the AFC and AFC could take some bold action against Nepal regarding the home match.

All the fans around Nepal are excited to host the first match after years of wait at Dashrath Stadium. Similarly, the NSC and ANFA are also desperate to host the match at Dashrath Stadium.

The stadium is almost done. Nevertheless, the VIP section parapet are yet to be managed. The seats are fixed in almost all other parts of the stadium. The player box, media box, medical are all ready.

Now, all the decision is all upon the AFC. They can shift the venue for the match between Nepal vs. Kuwait in neutral venue which will be possibly in Qatar. Similarly, they can consider the passionate Nepali fans and give green light to host the match in Dashrath Stadium.
