Nepal U23 squad for Myanmar U23 friendly announced

Nepal U23 head coach Bal Gopal Maharjan announced the 24-men squad for the upcoming friendly match against Myanmar U23. The friendly was confirmed today by ANFA, a day after confirming senior teams friendly.

The 23-men squad misses out star striker Bimal Gharti Magar as he is Maldives for club football. Similarly, other two possible over aged players Kiran Chemjong and Rohit Chand were also left out of the squad due to their club duty.

In the U23 squad, there is a provision of keeping three senior players. Therefore, Kiran Chemjong and Rohit Chand are almost sure-shot senior players to be included. However, for now the three senior players are Sujal Shrestha, Bikram Lama and Nawayug Shrestha.

The friendly match will be played on October 25 in Doha, Qatar at Doha Stadium. It will be a preparatory match for Nepali team who is under preparation for South Asian Games. Nepal is the defending champions of the SAG Football.
