Nepali Football team will be playing their second home match of the FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023 Qualifiers on October against mighty Australia and Chinese Taipei.
Nepal will host Chinese Taipei on October 8 before playing against Australia on October 13. Both the matches, most probably will be played at Dashrath Stadium.
Nepal vs Chinese Taipei
Nepal will play their first ever match after the lockdown against Chinese Taipei. Chinese Taipei is only the team that Nepal has beaten in the qualification campaign. In the match played at their home ground, Nepal defeated the home side by two goals to nil with both of the goals coming from Anjan Bista for Nepal.

Possible venue for Nepal
Due to the corona virus outbreak, the matches slated to kick off at Dashrath Stadium was forced to be postponed indefinitely. Dashrath Stadium was already approved as the home venue for the Nepal team. However, following the health concern, the FIFA and AFC might rethink about the venues for not only Nepali team but also for other teams. With still around two months left for the matches, the governing bodies might hand the same venues to the home side as before.
If this happens, then Nepal will host all the remaining home matches at Dashrath Stadium.
After the completion of these two matches, Nepal will sum up the qualification campaign with a match against Jordan in November.
Current status of Nepal in Table
Nepal is currently at fourth in the five teams standing with 3 points. Chinese Taipei lies at the bottom with not a single point. Nepal chance to be in top two is over but could still finish in third to make it easier to play the Asian Cup 2023.
