Nepal team announced for SAG Football

The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has published the Nepal U23 squad selected by head coach Bal Gopal Mahharjan for the South Asian Games (SAG). The SAG is set to start from 1st December in Nepal. The venue is most probably, Dashrath Stadium.

The 20-members squad also consists of three senior players. Maharjan has included Bikesh Kuthu, Bikram Lama and Sujal Shrestha as three senior players. Maharjan has better option for goak-keeper. However, he prefered Bikesh Kuthu Therefore, he will have to deliver his best till date in the SAG.

“We are working very hard and the entire team are very committed. I think we have prepared for a long time. The players we have are of good quality and the seniors will boost team morale- that is why we are confident,” said Mahajran (as per quoted in ANFA official website).

Nepal is the defending champions of the SAG Football.

 Goalkeepers: Bikesh Kuthu, Arpan Karki, Deep Karki

Defenders: Ananta Tamang, Dinesh Rajbanshi, Suman Aryal, Bikram Lama, Bikash Khawash, Mikchen Tamang, Chirring Gurung

Midfielders: Sujal Shrestha, Sunil Bal, Hemant Thapa Magar, Nitin Thapa, Sesehang Amdangbe, Tej Tamang,

Forwards: Bimal Gharti Magar, Abishek Rijal, Rejin Subba, Anjan Bista
