Nepal Suffers Fourth Consecutive Defeat in Canada, Loses by 14 Runs in T20 Tri-Series Opener

Nepal faced its fourth consecutive defeat in Canada, losing by 14 runs to the host team in the first match of the T20 Tri-Series. Chasing 124 runs, Nepal was all out for 109 in 19 overs.

Captain Rohit Paudel scored 37 before being bowled by Kalim Sana. Other notable contributions came from Kushal Malla (22), Sandeep Lamichhane (10), and Dev Khanal (10). Most other batsmen failed to reach double digits.

For Canada, Kalim Sana took 4 wickets, Saad Bin Zafar grabbed 3, while Praveen Kumar and Akhil Kumar took 1 wicket each.

Earlier, Canada posted 123/8 in 20 overs, with Saad Bin Zafar scoring 23 and Shreyas Movva adding 22. Sandeep and Sompal Kami took 3 wickets each for Nepal, while Rijan Dhakal and Dipendra Singh Airee took 1 wicket apiece.

Nepal will face Oman in their next match on Sunday, followed by Canada on Tuesday.
