Nepal Police Club and Nepal APF Football Club commenced their ANFA Women’s League campaign with a fiercely contested match that concluded in a goalless draw.

Held at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato, the game showcased intense competition and unwavering determination from both sides. Despite creating multiple scoring opportunities, neither team managed to break the deadlock, resulting in a stalemate that sets the tone for the league’s upcoming matches. Heavy rain delayed the start of the match, which was originally scheduled for 4:00 PM but commenced at 4:30 PM.

Earlier in the day, Karnali Province and Chandrapur Municipality played to a 1-1 draw, adding to the excitement of the league’s opening day.

The ongoing ANFA Women’s League features 10 teams vying for the title, including three departmental teams: APF Football Club, Nepal Police Club, and Tribhuvan Army Club. Other participants include Koshi Province, Sudurpaschim Province, Chandrapur Municipality, Sankata Club, Karnali Province, Bagmati Youth Club, and Waling Municipality. Organized by the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), the league follows a round-robin format where each team will face every other team.

The next match, scheduled for Wednesday, will see a competitive clash between Sankata Club and Tribhuvan Army Football Club.
