Nepal made improvement in FIFA Ranking

Nepali football team climbs 5 steps up in the latest FIFA Ranking that is made public by the FIFA. Nepal jumps from 166th to 161st in the FIFA Ranking for the month of September.

This month, Nepal played a couple of matches affiliated with FIFA where Nepal won one and lost the other. Nepal lost 7-0 to Kuwait in the first match of FIFA World Cup qualifiers and defeated Chinese Taipei 2-0 in the second match. Anjan Bista had scored both goals in the match.

Nepal will play Australia and Jordan next month. Australia are ranked 44th whereas Jordan are 98th in the latest FIFA ranking.

In South Asian ranking, India (104) remains the king with Maldives (153) in the second. Nepal remains at the third. Bhutan (185), Bangladesh (187), Sri Lanka (202) and Pakistan (203) are fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh respectively.

Belgium remains the king of the World in FIFA ranking followed by France, Brazil, England and Portugal.
