Nepal’s one of the best striker Jumanu Rai has returned to football after around 16 months. Rai has been out of football due to his official works. Rai, who is already 35-years old is planning to play his last league this season.
In an interview taken by the GoalNepal, Jumanu Rai said that he will play the A Division League 2076 and will retire after that. Similarly, he has also urges his fans to support him and thanks his all the supporters.
Rai had been one of the best player that Nepali football had ever got. However, his official retirement from the International football is yet to be announced. He has not been the part of the National team since 2/3 years. Similarly, he wasn’t active in club football as well.
After his around 16 months break from Football, Rai expects to end his footballing career on a good note. He is hoping for a happy retirement after the completion of this season league.
Jumanu Rai has scored 11 international goals for Nepal, which makes his the third highest goal scorer of Nepal after Hari Khadka and Nirajan Rayamajhi (13 each). His famous goal against India at Dashrath Stadium is one of the unforgettable memory from Rai.
