The Nepalese Men’s Cricket Team secured a commanding 37-run win over Oman in the second match of the T20I series, bouncing back after a disappointing CWC League 2 campaign and an opening loss to Canada.
Batting first at the Maple Leaf North-West Ground, King City, Nepal posted a competitive total of 176/6 in their 20 overs. Contributions from Kushal Malla (30), Gulshan Jha (40* off 17 balls), and Dipendra Singh Airee (18* off 5 balls) helped propel Nepal to a strong finish, adding 78 runs in the final five overs.
In response, Oman struggled to gain momentum and were bowled out for 139 in 19.1 overs. Karan KC led the Nepalese bowling attack, claiming 3 wickets, while Gulshan Jha and Kushal Bhurtel took 2 wickets each. Shoaib Khan top-scored for Oman with 45 runs, but his efforts weren’t enough to prevent the defeat.
Nepal will face Canada in the third match of the series on October 1, after a day’s rest.
