Nepal Cricket Team squad for Asian Games

After a memorable outing in the ACC Asia Cup 2023 in Pakistan and Sri Lanka, Nepali cricket team will shift their gear towards the Asian Games (Cricket). However, this time it will be the shorter format of the game.
The 19th editionof Asian Games is all set to be hosted in Hangzhou, China, from September 23 to October 8.
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has already announced Nepal’s squad for the Asian Games under the captaincy of Rohit Kumar Poudel. This will be the first match/tournamet for Poudel as a T20I captain.
For the T20 format, Avinash Bohara, Binod Bhandari and Bibek Yadav are added in the squad as they are specialized in the format. However, the ODI anchorer duo Bhim Sharki and Aarif Sheikh are left out from the T20 format.
Abhinash Bohara has been a great death bowler for Nepal in the shortest format of the game whereas, Binod Bhandari is well known as hard-hitting batter of Nepal along with Bibek Yadav.
Nepal has not played a single T20 match for around a year and will be looking to fine their tune in the format ahead of the T20 World Cup Qualifier later this year.
