The Nepali cricket team has been announced for the Tri-Nation Series under the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2, which will be held in Canada.
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) unveiled the 15-person team on Monday, with captain Rohit Kumar Paudel at the helm. After a 12-month absence, leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has rejoined the ODI squad.
Sandeep last participated in an Asia Cup match against India in an ODI. Arjun Saud rejoins the team as well, having been absent for almost 14 months.
Nepal will play its first game against Canada and the second match against Oman on September 16. They will face Canada again on September 22, and Oman on September 24. All matches will start at 7:45 PM Nepal time.
Additionally, Cricket Canada revealed on social media last week that the same sides would play a T20I series two days following the conclusion of the ODI series. The dates of the T20I series are September 28–October 3.
On September 28 and September 29, respectively, Nepal will play their debut Twenty20 international match against Canada and Oman. October 1st will be the third game versus Canada, and October 2nd will be the fourth game versus Oman.
As part of their yearly program, Nepal will play another ODI series against Canada after the T20I series. The group will next go to the United States to participate in League 2’s upcoming Tri-Nation series.
