The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) announced their 15-member squad for the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup 2024, which is almost a month away from now.
The team will be led by their regular 21-years old all-rounder Rohit Kumar Poudel. Possibly, he will be the youngest captain is this edition’s world cup in USA and West Indies.
Nepal will be playing their second ever T20 Cricket World Cup and it came after a decade. Last time they played in 2024 in Bangladesh. Sompal Kami remained only the player from that squad.
Nepal’s top order will depend much on their opener Aasif Sheikh and Kushal Bhurtel with the skipper coming in at number 3. Similarly, the middle order will reply on the batting fireworks of Kushal Malla and Sundeep Jora. Dipendra Singh Airee remains the accelerator of the team as per the situation.
The spin department will be led again by Dipendra Singh Airee along with Lalit Rajbanshi and Sagar Dhakal, who is having great series against West Indies A.
The pace department will be under Karan KC, Sompal Kami, Abhinash Bohara and Kamal Singh Airee. All-rounders Gulshan Jhan and Pratish GC will add further strenght in the team with wicket-keeper Anil Sah adding further fireworks in the squad.
