The road to the Cricket World Cup for 2027 begins in Nepal through the first tri-series of a new Cricket World Cup League 2 cycle and Nepal is all set for the challenge of two of the best teams from the League 2.
The CWC League 2 will be played in the similar format as of the previous edition. Nevertheless, the number of teams is increased to eight from seven. Netherlands re-joins the fray whereas, Canada got promoted to the League 2.
A total of 24 tri-series will be played among the 8 nations which sums to 144 ODIs in total, throughout the League 2 cycle.
Nepal will take on Namibia in the series opener on February 15 with starting time scheduled for 9:15 am. All the matches of the series will be played at TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.
