Barcelona suffered a set back before the season restart after their skipper Leo Messi missed Wednesday’s training.

According to TV3, the Argentine picked up an adductor injury during training. The MRI scan report will determine Messi’s chance of playing the opening match for Barcelona in season restart.

The 32-year-old is now ‘doubtful’ to face Real Mallorca which is still more than a week away. Other reports from AS suggest that Messi has a muscle problem but says the club is positive he will be fit in time.

The Spanish La Liga is all set to resume from 11th June after more than 3 months of suspension. In the first day, Sevilla will play Real Betis. Barcelona plays Real Mallorca on June 13.
