Manang Marshyangdi looking for first win in AFC Cup qualifiers

Nepal’s only representative Manang Marsyangdi Club will be looking for their first win in the AFC Cup 2019 Qualifers as they take on ISL participants Chennaiyin in the last match of the campaign on Wednesday. Manang are already out of the qualifiers with 2 draws and three loses from the five matches.

Manang Marsyangdi Club boss Chiring Gurung want to end the qualifiers campaign on a good note by at-least gaining the maximum points in the last day of the qualifiers. The match will be played at ANFA Complex Ground, Satdobato which is used as home ground for Manang Marsyangdi Club for the qualifiers.

Manang was pitted in Group E along with Bangladesh league champions  Dhaka Abahani, I-League champions Minerva Punjab and ISL team Chennaiyin (from paly-off). Manang failed to register a single win in all previous five matches.

Along with Manang, Minerva Punjab is also out of the qualifiers. However, they haven’t lost any matches. They have played five matches and had drew all the matches.

Manang Marsyangdi skipper Biraj Maharjan said he and the team wants to secure a good result and end the campaign on a good note.
