Nepal’s interim head coach Bal Gopal Maharjan has announced a 23-men squad for the ongoing Three Nations Cup on Wednesday.
According to Maharjan, Kiran Chemjong will captain the side whereas Rohit Chand will serve as vice-captain. 10 players for the closed camp were unable to make it to the final squad.

Coach Maharjan has axed 10 players from those currently training in the national camp. Goalkeer duo Bishal Shrestha and Bishal Sunuwar, defenders Palsang Lama, Suraj BK and Bikash Khawas, midfielders Hemanta Thapa Magar and Santosh Tamang and forwards Ashish Lama, George Prince Karki and Nawayug Shrestha have been left out from the national team squad.
Meanwhile, former Skipper Biraj Maharjan has been re-called for the national side.
Nepal will play Kyrgyzstan in its first match of the tournament on Thursday before taking on Bangladesh on Saturday.
Bangladesh defeated Kyrgyzstan 1-0 in the opening match of the tournament on Tuesday.
