Loris Karius determined to fight for place at Liverpool

Loris Karius said he is determined to stay at Anfield and fight for his place in the club after the goal-keeper returns from loan.

Loris Karius has returned to Liverpool after his seasons long loan spell at Besiktas. The 26-years old GK cut his mediocre two-year loan spell at Besiktas to return to Merseyside.

However, the goal-keeper will be kept under radar by Brazilian Alisson who has been one of the best goal-keeper in the world in past years. Alisson has signed for Liverpool in 2018.

Despite his brilliant performance in 2017/18, his two blunders in the UEFA Champions League against Real Madrid turned him to zero from hero.

Soon after the season, he was loaned and replaced by Alission since then.

Despite the incident and being loaned, the goal-keeper has surprisingly said that he is under no pressure to move back to Liverpool and fight for his place.

Loris Karius to Liverpool

Speaking with the Transfermarkt, he said: “Of course I have to play if I am going to change clubs. It makes no sense to say: ‘I’m leaving Liverpool for a worse club and I’m only number two there”, he added.

“But I’m not in a pressure situation at all, I don’t have to change.”

“I can move forward in training at Liverpool. As the second-choice goalkeeper in England you know that you get your chances.”

“I am currently at the best club in the world, play for titles, have the highest level around me every day in training. I am fully aware that I am in a good position to be in Liverpool. I have great conditions there.”
