Liverpool’s title party delayed by Everton draw

Liverpool will have to wait for a bit longer to celebrate their title triumph as the Merseyside derby ended in goal-less draw on Sunday.

A win could have shorten their 30 years long wait for the Premier League title to at least next Manchester City’s fixture.

Manchester City is playing Burnley on Monday and a lose for City would have handed Reds their title, had they won against Everton on Sunday.

However, now Liverpool will have to wait for another game-week to lift their historic Premier League trophy.

With Sunday’s draw, Liverpool are now 23 points clear of Manchester City with the later still having match on hand for the game-week 30.

Now, in case Manchester City drops points on Monday, Liverpool can win the title on Wednesday when Liverpool takes on Crystal Palace. A win against Palace will hand them the title after 30 years.
