FIFA World Cup 2022

The 22nd edition of mega footballing event, the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar is was kicked-off back in 20th November, 2022 in Qatar.

This was the first FIFA World Cup hosted by a Arab nation and will be the second time that the FIFA World Cup is being hosted in Asia. Previously in 2022, South Korea and Japan jointly hosted the mega event for the first time in Asia which saw Brazil grab their 5th FIFA World Cup title.

A total of 32 nations around the world competed for the global glory with Argentina winning it for the third time. Argentina defeated France on penalties after the regulation time ended in 2-2 draw and 3-3 draw after the additional time.

Lionel Messi was star of the tournament and won the Golden Ball whereas, France’s Mbappe won the Golden Boot. Similarly, Argentina’s Enzo Fernandez was the Young Player of the Tournament.

Nepal T20 League 2022

Nepal T20 is an official T20 Franchise league by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). The league was announced for the first time in 2022 and the inaugural edition will start from December 23 and the date is already sanctioned by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

A total of six city based franchise will be involved in the inaugural edition and the teams are as follows:

  • Janakpur Royals
  • Kathmandu Knights
  • Lumbini All Star
  • Biratnagar Super Kings
  • Pokhara Avengers
  • Far West United

CWC League 2

The 2019–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 is the first edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2, a cricket tournament which forms part of the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualification process. The tournament is being played from August 2019 to February 2023,with all matches played as One Day Internationals (ODIs). Each set of fixtures was planned to take place as a tri-series.

The top three teams will advance to the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournament, while the bottom four teams will have to go into the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-off.

One or both of the bottom two teams in this League 2 competition will be relegated to the next Cricket World Cup Challenge League if, in the 2022 ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-off, they are outperformed by a top-ranked team from the 2019–2022 ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge Leagues A or B. Whichever two of these four teams are ranked higher in that Qualifier Play-off, will play in the next League 2, while the two teams ranked lower will play in the next Challenge League.
