“Lamichhane will be the biggest bowling threat in CPL 2020”

The eight edition of Caribbean Premier League (CPL) T20 underway at Trinidad & Tobago. Trinbago Knight Riders and Barbados Tridents were victorious in the opening match.

Nepal’s leg spinning sensation Sandeep Lamichhane will be representing Jamaica Tallawahs this season. Tallawahs will play their first match on Wednesday against St Lucia Zouks.

This is consecutive third season for 20-years old bowler in the Caribbean Premier League. In his first season back in 2018, he grabbed 7 wickets. Last year, he played from Barbados Tridents and picked up 8 wickets. In both of the seasons, Lamichhane couldn’t play all the matches due to his international duties.

Nevertheless, Lamichhane will be available for the whole league this year and will be an obvious headache for the batsmen. The pitch in Trinidad & Tobago is more spin friendly which will add misery on the batsmen.

Only because of his age will Lamichhane not be considered a senior bowler in the Tallawahs squad, but he is likely going to be their biggest bowling threat this tournament. They’ll hope that’s the case right from day one.

Sandeep Lamichhane will combine with Afghanistan’s Mujeeb Ur Rahman for Jamaica’s spin attack.
