Nepal’s leg spinning sensation Sandeep Lamichhane has been picked up by Oval Invincibles for the inaugural edition of the Hundred cricket tournament in England.
The Hundred is a 100 balls tournamentĀ is starting from next year in England and Wales. Nepal’sĀ Lamichhane was picked up in the second round of the draft. He was picked up for 100 thousands pounds.
Oval Invincibles consists the players like World Cup winner Jason Roy, Curran brothers, Billings and Narine. This would be a great opportunity for Lamichhane to gain more experience.
A total of 8 city based teams will be participating in the tournament.Ā The eight teams are Birmingham Phoenix (Edgbaston) London Spirit (Lordās), Manchester Originals (Emirates Old Trafford), Northern Superchargers (Emerald Headingley), Oval Invincibles (Kia Oval), Southern Brave (Ageas Bowl), Trent Rockets (Trent Bridge)Ā and Welsh Fire (Sophia Gardens).
A team can have up to three foreign players in their 15-men squad and all those three players can be included in the starting eleven.
