Lamichhane must fight hard for his place at Starting XI in Delhi Capitals

The much awaited Cricketting festival, the Indian Premier League 2020 is starting from Saturday. In the opening day, last year’s finalists Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings will play.
Nepal’s leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane is playing his third season of the league from Delhi Capitals. Alike previous seasons, Lamichhane will have to give a tough fight to make his place in the starting eleven of the team.
In his debut season, Lamichhane was handed three starts in the last three matches where he impressed the team and was retained for another season as well. In his debut season, Lamichhane grabbed 5 wickets. Similarly, in the last season, Lamichhane played in 6 matches and grabbed 8 wickets.
In this season, the addition of spinners will make it even harder for Lamichhane in the starting eleven. He will have to fight for the position with the likes of Amit Mishra, Ravichandran Ashwin, Axsar Patel.

As the venue for this edition’s IPL is UAE, the pitch will be familiar for Sandeep Lamichhane as he has played several times in similar pitches.
Delhi’s coach Ricky Ponting informed via Twitter that the competition for the spot in Starting eleven is becoming hotter.
Counting down the days until we start our season on Sunday. The boys have been outstanding with their training and preparation and competition for spots in the starting eleven is certainly hot. Exactly what you want as a coach. @delhicapitals pic.twitter.com/4PHBDTAA3p
