“La Liga to Resume from June 20”

Leganes coach Javier Aguirre confirmed the the suspended LaLiga would resume on June 20 which was affected due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

The La Liga clubs have already started calling their players back and testing them before training.  FC Barcelona and Real Madrid have already confirmed the re-joining of their stars in the training. All the sporting activities in Spain, including La Liga has been suspended in March.

Speaking to Marca Claro on Thursday, Aguirre said La Liga would resume on June 20.

“We already have a start date for the league: June 20, we started LaLiga and in five weeks we officially finished on July 26.”

“It will be played on Saturdays-Sunday and Wednesday-Thursday 11 dates. LaLiga has just informed me officially and for which I am very happy because we have already scheduled the training. We started tomorrow, luckily we passed the tests. ”

Currently, Barcelona is leading second placed Real Madrid by mere two points with 11 games left to play for this season.

German Bundesliga has already set the return date with first match after the lock-down being played on May 16.
