Kante picked-up injury in training, set to miss Europa final

Injury hit Chelsea suffered yet another blow ahead of Europa League final as their midfielder N’Golo Kante picked up a knee injury during training at Cobham on Saturday. This means Kante will miss Chelsea’s final match of Europa League on Wednesday.

Kante has only joined the squad in training after recovering from a hamstring problem that had sidelined him for a couple of Chelsea’s matches.  Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Callum Hudson Odoi are already in the injured players list with recovery needing long time for both the players.

With both midfielders out from the squad, Ross Barkley and Mateo Kovacic might get start against Arsenal in Baku alongside Jorginho.

Further worries for Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri will be the unavailability of Antonio Rudiger, whose season was ended by an operation to repair the meniscus in his left leg.
