Hudson-Odoi, Kante & Pulisic fit for Aston Villa match; Ruben Loftus-Cheek ready for first start

Chelsea will be back in the business to solidify their place in top four as Premier League resumes from June 17. The Blues take will play Aston Villa on June 21 at Villa Park.

Lampard will not have much injury concern as he was facing before the suspension of the league. Most of his players are back to full fitness during the three-months long suspension of the Premier League.

The injury list was long prior to the lock down with twos of couples of main players mission out on Lampard’s squad. The signing of the season for the Blues, Christian Pulisic is yet to mark his presence in the Premier League. He was given playing time in the League a bit late and when he was given the enough playing time, he picked up back in January.

The American skipper is not fully fit to be back at the squad, having already featured in couple of closed-doors friendlies for the Blues.

Similarly, long-term absentees Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are back to full fitness after serving almost a year out of field. Callum was back in the middle of the season but was yet again forced to remain out. Hudson-Odoi was also tested positive to Covid-19 and has fully recovered now.

Loftus-Cheek was included in the squad before lock-down but didn’t feature in any of the match because of lack of match fitness. Nevertheless, having already scored brace in friendly against QPR and goal in intra-club friendly, Ruben has acquired enough match fitness to make his first appearance in the league.

The other main man in mid, N’Golo Kante has featured in Blues’ last two friendlies despite missing out on initial phase of the training citing medical issues.

Similarly, Mateo Kovacic and Tammy Abraham were the major absentees ahead of the long break and both of them are fully fit now and will be available for the selection.

Chelsea is currently sitting at number 4, three points ahead of fifth placed Manchester United. Chelsea will play Aston Villa on June 21 and will be followed by match against second-placed Manchester City on June 26.
