Nepal’s leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane become the first foreign signing for Hobart Hurricanes as Hurricanes retained the Nepal international. Lamichhane played in the BBL 10 for limited matches due to international duties and went on to grab eight wickets.
Lamichhane has been the fan favorite in the Australian League. He has started his Big Bash journey back in 2018 with Melbourne Stars.
Lamichhane recently missed the chance to play The Hundred League as well as the Vitality Blast in UK due to visa issue. He is also set to miss the Caribbean Premier League due to International duty.
However, Hobart Hurricanes announced in their website that Lamichhane will be available for KFC BBL|11 in its entirety.
“I am looking forward to returning to Australia and playing with the Hurricanes again this year,” Lamichhane said of his re-signing as per stated in official website.
“I really enjoyed my time with the Hurricanes last season, so I’m excited that I will be there for the whole tournament this year.
“We had a great group of players last year, and a lot of us will still be playing together this year too. Being there for the whole season I’m hoping I can personally put together some strong performances and contribute to the team having a successful year.”
Hobart Hurricanes includes the players like Scott Boland, Tim David, Nathan Ellis, Peter Handscomb, Caleb Jewell, Josh Kann, Ben McDermott, Riley Meredith, Mitch Owen, Joel Paris, Wil Parker, D’Arcy Short, Matthew Wade and Mac Wright.
