Haris Rauf inspired Melbourne Stars registered sixth win

The Melbourne Stars registered their sixth win in their last seven matches in the ongoing Big Bash League in Australia. In the match played at Melbourne Cricket Ground, the Stars defeated Sydney Thunders by 6 wickets.

Win the win, Melbourne Stars stayed at the top of the table with 12 points from seven matches. Second placed Sydney Thunder also have 12 points from 8 matches but the Stars lead them on net run-rate.

Nepal leggie Sandeep Lamichhane remained wicketless for the first time as he ended his spell 4-0-39-0. However, he made a brilliant catch in the 20th over.

The highlight of the match was Haris Rauf’s hatrick in the very last over of the first inning. He became the first player from Melbourne Stars to take a hatrick.
